Tachles Israel is an independent information service, not a government authority. Check binding conditions, eligibility and deadlines with the official source.
Before you start
Childcare registration follows the school year, type of setting and dates published by the Ministry of Labour. Registration does not necessarily approve a subsidy or guarantee a place.
Who is this guide for?
Parents checking home-based childcare with an official recognition code or another recognised setting.
Registration dates and subsidy conditions change annually. Check the relevant school year.
The checklist
Select the correct school year
Child's details and the preferred childcare setting.
Last year's dates do not automatically apply to this year.
Check that the setting is recognised
Name of the setting and operator details.
Do not assume every private childcare setting is recognised for subsidies.
Register through the childcare coordinator
The child's details and documents required by the coordinator under official instructions.
Registration is not final admission. The service page's regular 2026–2027 registration window ended on 8 March 2026; check with the coordinator rather than assuming registration or a place is available now.
Check subsidies separately
Documents required under the subsidy conditions.
An approved place does not necessarily mean approved financial assistance.
